WIOA Individual Training Account (ITA) funding may cover tuition for people who qualify at approved training providers. Critical Trades Academy is pursuing WIOA Eligible Training Provider approval. We are not yet approved, and grant-funded enrollment through us is not currently available.
How funding works
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) helps eligible people pay for job training. An ITA is funding arranged through a local workforce development board for an approved program. Funding and program availability vary by area.
Who typically qualifies?
- Adults age 18 or older
- North Carolina residents
- People who are unemployed, underemployed, or meet low-income criteria set by their workforce development board
These are typical criteria, not a promise of funding. Your local workforce board determines final eligibility, subject to its rules and available funds.
